Confirmation Program 2005 - 2006
Confirmation is a pastoral and formational ministry of the church that is designed to help baptized children identify with the life and mission of the adult Christian community and that is celebrated in a public rite.
Confirmation is the church's own creation invested with meanings the church seeks to communicate to its members.
Baptism is complete in itself. Confirmation may, therefore, in no sense be regarded as a completion of an unfinished act.
It is hoped that by the time of the Rite of Confirmation, every student will have an active relationship with Jesus Christ, and will be able to make an informed decision of their commitment to God, including affirming what God has done for them through Baptism.
